The Story
Jose Armando Pineda has been in the trades since 2001. Roofs, decks, additions. Most of it in the DMV.
In 2006 he was working for a construction company that isn't around anymore. He knew the work cold by then. What he couldn't get comfortable with was how they did it. The crews were fast, but they were fast because they skipped things. Decking that should have been torn out got shingled over. The hour that mattered got five minutes instead.
He'd watched it long enough. In 2015 he left and started JAP Home Improvement.
Fast, Because We Know What We're Doing
We finish most roof replacements in one to three days. Decks and extensions run longer, but the same thing is true of all of it. We move quickly because twenty-five years in the trades means we know what's behind the wall or under the shingles before we open it up. We're not guessing, and we're not making decisions on the fly.
That's a completely different thing from moving fast by cutting corners. If your decking is rotten, we tear it out. If the framing under a deck is shot, we replace it. If the flashing is wrong, we redo it. Those are the parts that make the work last, and they're the first things a rushed crew skip.
